Great list for those "wrong side of the tracks" songs! You may also want to consider the following, which also have references to economics being the barrier in a relationship: "Midnight Mary" by Joey Powers, "Rag Doll" by the Four Seasons, "Leader of the Pack" by the Shangri-Las (and covered by Twisted Sister), and "(Just Like) Romeo and Juliet" by the Reflections (and covered by Sha Na Na).
uptown girl, billy joel (of course)
Dark end of the street
Also "Baby Don't Go" by Sonny and Cher.
And "Poor Boy" by Steve Earle.
I've added a bunch of these. Don't agree with "Just Like Romeo & Juliet" although I love the song because the lyrics don't really talk about being from the wrong part of town or anything, just that the guy needs to get a job.
